Requirements and Application Materials

  • One of the following:
    • The completion of an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or closely related major
    • The successful completion of one of our Principles of Programming courses as a Student-at-Large.
  • Official Undergraduate transcripts.
  • The Standard GRE Examination (no subject exam required).
  • For International Students, the university requires an English language proficiency test score. Details can be found through the graduate school website.
  • Two letters of recommendation, preferably from academic sources.
  • A Statement of Purpose.
  • Resume or CV

  • a baccalaureate or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • a background equal to that required for the B.S. degree at Northern Illinois University.
  • Official Undergraduate transcripts.
  • The Standard GRE Examination (no special subject exam required).
