This is the root directory for files related to the Assembler Boot Camp
sessions to be given at SHARE in Baltimore in August 2006.

The directories and files included here are:

ASReview/       ASSIST Source Files for Review.  This directory contains
                most of the original Penn State University distribution

BootAsst/       The ASSIST/I assembler-interpreter and some sample programs. 
                The Assist User Guide (for "mainframe ASSIST") is included
                as asusergd.html

BootMacs/       Eight simple macros that can be used for basic forms of I/O
                and data conversion on mainframe host systems. These macros 
                do not need a link-time library
				
PSUMacs/        34 macros for use on mainframe host systems. Some of them
                require the availability of a link-time library created from
                the programs in the next directory

PSUProgs/       14 modules that should be assembled and linked into a library
                available to the code created by macro expansions in the
                previous directory

Presentations/  The session slides and handouts in PDF format

Problem Sheet/  A single file, whatnow.pdf, which is an exercise to help you
                understand how programs are executed

StarterKit/     The Starter Kit handout in PDF format that describes ASSIST/I
                and the other macros and programs in this directory
