I am currently an Assistant Professor of the Computer Science department of Northern Illinois University.  I obtained my Ph.D. degree from the Computer Science Department of the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2000,   and my MS and BS degrees from the Computer Science Department of Nanjing University, China in 1994 and 1991, respectively.

My current research interests center around Services Computing, with a focus on data management, QoS testing, mobile learning, collaborative learning, and model-driven variation propagation analysis.

I am now serving as an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Services Computing (TSC), an Associate Editor of International Journal of Web Services Research (JWSR), and an Editorial Board Member of IEEE IT Professional. I am Program Vice Chair of IEEE International Conference on Web Services (ICWS 2009, 2008, 2007, and 2006). I also served on and am serving on other international journals/magazines and many conference program committees.
