NIU Homeland Security Certificate, Graduate Certificate

Students following this track obtain knowledge in information and computer security including ways and means of assessing, avoiding and mitigating risks inherent in modern IT systems. The certificate requires 18 credit hours in approved courses.

Individuals who may benefit from the CyberSecurity track:

  • IT professionals in industry.
  • IT professionals in municipal, county, state and federal agencies.
  • Emergency management personnel.
  • Educators.
  • Students in related majors.
